Xbox Game Pass hits 15 million subscribers

Earlier today Microsoft announced their acquisition of ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda, and the story went on to dominate the headlines of social media.

What you may have missed however is that the Xbox Game Pass service now has 15 million subscribers.

This is an incredible milestone, and with the addition of all of Bethesda’s future games included it is likely to see even more growth.

Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella had this to say of gaming and Game Pass:

Gaming is the most expansive category in the entertainment industry, as people everywhere turn to gaming to connect, socialize and play with their friends

Quality differentiated content is the engine behind the growth and value of Xbox Game Pass—from Minecraft to Flight Simulator. As a proven game developer and publisher, Bethesda has seen success across every category of games, and together, we will further our ambition to empower the more than three billion gamers worldwide

Xbox Game Pass also includes EA Play, and if you have ultimate you will also have access XCloud, allowing you to stream your games to compatible devices.

You can also ‘game share’ the pass, meaning two people can enjoy the benefits with just the single subscription cost. This is truly incredible value for money.
